Why I don't like McCain [Part V]

Most of my other reasons for not liking AZ Senator John McCain have been very valid reasons. This reason, not so much. It's more of my silly love for Rumsfeld complicated by my hate of McCain.

Irrational at the finest.

But as it is, why does McCain need to say he doesn't trust Rumsfeld to do his job? Why does he need to pick on my yummy Rummy. The two can't be compared. Rumsfeld: suave, svette, charming, hot. McCain: fat, jowls, moderate, grouchy old fart.

But on a more serious level.

Sure, there have been plenty of mistakes that have happened over in Iraq. And yes it is our goal to minimize those mistakes.

But it seems that McCain has made it his goal now that the election is over to return to his "maverick" position and goad the Republicans--not to the benefit of those in Iraq but to himself.

Not a bad thing, his goading the GOP--except McCain tends to be about as moderate as one can get. And its his fighting against the grain as well as his fight against "pork" that has endeared him in the hearts of Americans. Not his politics. But purely aesthetic reasons.
