Why I don't like McCain [Part II]
On the effect of the campaign finance reform act, which McCain sponsored: The law sharply restricts the opportunity for these major political players to arrange, pay for, and broadcast campaign-season ads that promote their policy positions with the voters in the hope that the messages will translate into the election of their allies to national office.
